About this demonstration
Two ways to prove it is you
Tap authentication. A service asks; this screen shows exactly what and from whom, and three numbers. You tap the one the other screen shows. A caller cannot tell you which — only that screen knows.
Token authentication. A six-digit code every 30 seconds per account, with no network at all. Type it where the service asks, or read it out at a counter.
Device lock. The authenticator opens only behind your phone's own pattern, PIN or fingerprint; it holds no secret a screenshot could leak.
Set it up in four steps
- Open Security settings and turn on Multi-factor.
- Install this page as an app — “Add to Home Screen” — it works offline.
- Add an account: scan the QR the service shows, or type its auth key.
- Next sign-in, tap the matching number here, or type the 30-second code.
There is no push notification here — this page asks the server every two seconds. A real authenticator would be a native app with a key held in the phone's secure hardware. The number matching and what-you-see-is-what-you-sign are genuine: they are what defeats a relayed one-time password, which is the fraud this replaces.
