Privacy policy

What this site does with information — which is very little.

Placeholder document. This is a concept prototype: it collects no personal data, has no operator and offers no service. The text shows where a real policy would sit and what it would have to say.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. The sign-in accepts any 10-digit number and treats it as a synthetic citizen. The number is stored in a demo database as part of a sign-in request and is not linked to a real person, sent to any third party, or used to contact anyone.

Cookies

Two first-party session cookies (mp_sid for the identity hub, sp_sid for the mock portals) exist only so the journey works. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies are set. Your browser's local storage keeps your language and theme choice.

Consent, the way a real Meri Pehchaan must do it

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 requires notice before consent, no pre-ticked boxes, purpose limitation and withdrawal as easy as giving. The consent screen in this prototype is built to those rules, and “Who has access” is the withdrawal path. A production policy would set out the data fiduciary, the retention periods per purpose and the grievance officer.
