What Meri Pehchaan is, what this demonstration does, and what it does not.

India's National Single Sign-On: one set of credentials that opens many government services. Today it brings together three sign-on platforms — Jan Parichay, e-Pramaan and DigiLocker. This concept, Meri Pehchaan 2.0, makes that one identity visible as one button, one consent screen and one place to see who has access.

No. Any of your existing identifiers — mobile number, DigiLocker, e-Pramaan or Jan Parichay username — opens the same door. In this demonstration any 10-digit number works and the one-time code is always 123456.

In the demonstration: the Labour Services portal, Income Tax e-Filing and the Public Grievance portal, all mock departments. Sign in once and the next portal recognises you without another code.

Only the service you consented to, only the fields you allowed, only until the date you saw on the consent screen. Who has access lists every consent and every helper, and you can withdraw any of them there.

Yes. A Jan Seva Kendra operator or a family member asks for a time-boxed permission; you approve it on your own phone by tapping the matching number. Nobody ever needs your one-time code. See Help someone.

About the demonstration

The three identity providers, UIDAI, every department portal, every citizen and every document. The one-time code is fixed at 123456 and the phone number-match is always 47. See About this demonstration.

A real OpenID Connect issuer with PKCE, refresh rotation, token exchange, revocation and introspection; consent receipts; account linking; delegation grants; back-channel logout; a fault-injection sandbox. It runs on one serverless function and a Postgres database.

The problem was researched in ChatGPT; OpenAI Codex built the entire backend (68 endpoints, 16 logged commits — see backend/CODEX-LOG.md). Claude Code did design, front-end and checkers; Vercel and Neon to host.

Twelve, as built-in page strings: English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia and Assamese.
