Independent concept prototype for Build What Moves India · Not a Government of India service · All data is demo data.

Prototype journey comparison

What the journey costs, before and after — measured on this build

The scenario: Labour → Income Tax → Bharat Trust Bank → a helper files one form. The "before" column is counted from the Meri Pehchaan 1.0 sign-in that every portal here carries as its "Today" frame, line by line. The "after" column is read from this hub's own ledger after running the scenario against it. Scope: this prototype, not a national statistic.

The method, line by line

  1. sign_ins = 4 — The replica says every department sends the citizen to the 1.0 sign-in; the helper adds a fourth entry. (portal/index.html:119)
  2. codes_sent = 4 — The replica says the one-time code repeats on the next department; four entries therefore send four codes. (portal/index.html:150)
  3. codes_verified = 4 — Each of the four sent codes must be completed to enter that service. (portal/index.html:150)
  4. consents = 0 — The visible control is a pre-ticked terms checkbox, not an itemised consent receipt. (portal/index.html:143)
  5. services_entered = 3 — The scenario enters three distinct services; the helper repeats Labour rather than adding a fourth service. (portal/index.html:119)
  6. step_ups = 0 — The replica shows a repeated PIN and OTP, not an in-place progressive-assurance step. (portal/index.html:119)
  7. delegated_acts = 0 — The replica has no authority grant, so the helper must use the citizen sign-in. (portal/index.html:119)
  8. revokes = 0 — The replica exposes a terms checkbox, not a citizen revocation control. (portal/index.html:143)
  9. fields_retyped = 3 — Labour names four form fields and says three are supplied by the prototype, so the replica requires those three again. (portal/index.html:274)
  10. fields_retyped = 3 — Income Tax names four form fields and says three are supplied by the prototype. (portal/tax/index.html:235)
  11. fields_retyped = 5 — The bank lists the five identity and KYC results the relying party receives. (portal/bank/index.html:225)
  12. fields_retyped = 3 — The helper repeats the Labour form and therefore repeats its three identity fields. (portal/index.html:274)

Notes

  • The replica repeats identifier, PIN and one-time code on every service entry.
  • Its pre-ticked terms checkbox is not counted as an itemised consent receipt.
  • Without delegation, the helper needs a fourth citizen sign-in and one-time code.
  • Identity fields are filled from the hub, so fields_retyped is 0 by construction.
  • A stronger authenticator used after the first sign-in is counted as an in-place step-up, not another sign-in.
  • Only distinct relying-party client IDs reached through this session lineage appear in services_entered.
